Staff Admin - Black Starlight Mods - None	Welcome to Dreamscape Fables! DSF is a community for writers of all skill levels to post their work for critique and helpful hints. We're open to short and long narratives, fanfictions, poetry, and roleplaying; people can also be found hanging out in the various chat boards. Well, I think that's it. We're done. Thanks so much to everyone who posted here, but I think DSF has lived out it's life. We were never that popular and as much as I would have liked to see us get a whole bunch of members and everything, that's what FictionPress and Fanfiction.net are for, right? Anyway, thanks again and goodbye. I'll still check back here every now and again but I'm closing joining. If you really need me and don't know where else to find me (destinydarkness.deviantart.com, amaravati.smackjeeves.com, angelwings.smackjeeves.com...hint hint xD) leave a message in the C-box and I'll get back to you when I check it.... which may not be until months later. Goodbye DSF. Maybe one day we'll return to ressurect you a second time. this are just a bunch of poems i've wrote. their all about different things. enjoy

Midnight Race

I slip onto her back,
The reins tight in my hand
The night is black,
I look over the land,

She is ready to fly,
I grip with my knees and lean forward,
She waits; I look to the sky,
I say the word,

She leaps forward, her hoofs pounding the ground,
I grip a piece of mane
The end is near, I see the mound,
I slow her to a stop, the main
Race to come, the sound of pounding hoofs follows,

The others come, to race back,
I turn and wait by the silver willows,
The others reach me; I sit on her bareback.
I lean forward and say the word,
She leaps forward, to take the lead
We all race homeward,
The others following us, the leader.

Sharp, defined,
Everything was so clear
I did not need air, but I liked it,
I could taste the room.
I didn’t realize someone
Was holding my hand until
Whoever it was squeezed it lightly,
The skin was the wrong temperature,
Not cold;
I flipped from my back in a spin so
Fast it should have blurred the room – but it did not.

Rock Guards

Huge and majestic,
These towers of rock; standing
guard before the sea.

Freedom

The smoothness of motion,
The joy of takeoff,
The thrill of action,
A snort of joy; the horse leaps for the next liftoff.

Around the end, ready to go again,
Powerful legs pounding the groomed ground,
Muscled hunches pushing him over the jump, across
The width, his rider up over the horse’s arched back, they headed up the mound.

The freedom of jumping,
The hidden power of the horse,
The skill of the rider; asking
For another breathtaking jump, the hidden force,
Within the horse.

Running Free

A noise like thunder
Across the field; mane flying,
The horse gallops
